Woolsey 04:49
On the crest of the silhouette hill Red lights hang like Judas stalking his kill Panicked loved one’s wet eyes glow Glancing back to once was home I’m a sailor searching for the grail I’m a warrior translating brail The sky fires they slice and gouge And I can’t tell if I’m lost or I’m found No I don’t know if I’m lost or found Far from me is the freeway Woolsey jumps as the brown grass burns All of Fate’s heat evident in it’s rage In smoke signal written words In cloud written words No one knows the best way to go Frightened fast or slow While I’m caught in smoke’s barbed wire I’m trying to put our fire I’m putting out fire I’ve been putting out. Putting out, putting out… Let me Forget Today til Tomorrow No escape for a scorched soul I live a life that is Black and borrowed Nothing left to console I can’t get back what you stole No I can’t get back what you stole I’ve been putting out. Putting out, putting out…

There’s a land I love That Cascaded from above She’s a sweet, cherub fool And a wayward demon just like you Whether in sea or redwood Or posted deep down in the hood All of Guthrie’s California stars That crash it’s women, wine and bars Sing Sierra, Joshua No matter where I roam It’s my home California home There’s a thousand religions For a million more positions Some roll up like Humboldt kin Or soak in supple Sonoma zin All those schooled in traffic 101 Hungover from last night’s hit and run Sing Ventura Sequoia No matter where I roam It’s my home California home Bus tires drone on a flat Midwest lane Makes you ache for the crack of a breaking wave Dream of her golden sand and sea That’s where you long to be No matter where I roam It’s my home California home

Your Love is so hard to find The way you hide it is so cruel and unkind Where’s your heart of gold? I’ve never mined it Forget that deal we made? You never signed it Your Love is so hard to find They say that Love is blind It’s the flaw and strength in it’s soul design I stumble around tap my cane inside our bed But all I see is the shadow of my lonely head Your Love is so hard to find I’ve been searching for her night and day In a broken de ja vu ballet I’ll keep crawling cross the floor that way Until she comes Until she comes Until she comes Your Love is so hard to find It's buried down as deep as Egypt’s devine A cold tomb is your Love shrine Ain’t no godly guru that could penetrate your mind Your Love is so hard to find Yes, I’m looking for it high and low I just don’t know where else to go Your Love is so hard to find...

Rise Above 04:49
Glide above me Slide above me My seraph immortal With Wings of a Bodhi tree You summon me To pluck your fig with my tendril You are You are Omega and Primal I am In the song of your soul As we write our own Hymn to Love That one day will be free of The discord of akasha octave Then we will Rise Above Ethereal And carnal We fuse the paradoxical You are I am Love Eternal We will rise above On the wings of Love

Tableau 03:11
Babe, I feel your presence A shimmer on a rough sea But I don’t know if you can feel me You’re framed in the doorway like a Braque tableau But I can’t see your face as you go No I can’t see your face as you go I see you at the market Our memoir in your hand In a tongue only you understand They flock to your depiction In a Gollum flash mob clenching the fiction as they sob Yes they clench your fiction as they sob We all want some heaven But no one wants to die we all want the truth but we lie Babe I feel your presence A shimmer on a rough sea But I don’t know if you feel me Did you ever feel me

He’s building 2000 miles of barbed wire in the sky I didn’t know they could cage my soul But I know I cant fly I just can’t fly But I know that Love has come to us before Love before Instead of promised paradise He mainlines us with ICE To entice the Klan to bottle blackberry jam In a supreme ist sacrifice In a fascist sacrifice Love has come to us before Love before A specter built on lies A trumped up spy on high He bends the truth like Geller’s spoon But I know I’m not blind I just can’t fly But I know that Love has come to us before Love before

I am the Artist LifeSize. My NEW Album "Woolsey" is inspired by my personal experiences during and in the aftermath of the Woolsey Fire.

Woolsey was a devastating California wildfire in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, that in November 2018, burned100,000 acres, 1,650 structures, caused the evacuation of 300,000 people and took several lives.

The title track, and lead single, “Woolsey”
explores not only the loss of my home but also the struggles we all share.

Musically and Lyrically this Album goes beyond loss and touches on Determination, Redemption and Celebration.

“California Home”, “Your Love Is So Hard To Find”, “Rise Above”, “Tableau”, “Love Has Come To Us Before” and my cover of the timeless “Simple Man” deliver sharp and rounded... more

about

LifeSize Los Angeles, California

"LifeSize delivers poignant "Woolsey" album. The music is impressive on so many different levels, resulting in a collection of vastly appealing roots-rock tunes that should appeal to fans of Mark Knopfler, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen."
